Danford Consulting
Danford Consulting is a professional technical writing and facilitation firm based on Pender Island, British Columbia (BC). We work with non-profits and small businesses across Canada, offering grant writing, facilitation, project management, strategic planning, and event coordination.
Since 2019, we’ve helped clients secure over $20 million in grant-based funding, deliver complex projects, and meet critical deadlines with confidence. Our work is grounded in more than 20 years of deep sector knowledge, strong writing, and a practical understanding of non-profit and business operations.
We deliver clear, well-executed work that reflects each client’s priorities, timelines, and standards. Our projects range from local initiatives to national strategies. Each is approached with clarity, precision, and respect for the expertise our clients bring. The result is work that’s dependable, accurate, and built to support meaningful outcomes.

Approach & Practice
Our approach to grant writing is multi-faceted: we write through a trauma-informed, client-centred and culturally inclusive lens and utilize positive language to ensure we meet the needs of our clients’ target populations without causing harm.
Written in Your Voice
We take the time to understand how each organization communicates and reflect that in every piece of content we produce.
Work That Does No Harm
We prioritize trauma-informed, culturally respectful, and community-aware approaches — especially when work touches on service delivery, equity, or lived experience.
Make the Most of What’s Already There
We build on internal tools, templates, and past materials wherever possible, reducing redundancy and saving time.
Deliver with Integrity
Everything we create — whether it’s a grant, a work plan, a strategy, or a workshop — is designed to meet real-world needs and support next steps.
